LifeDrive-Notebook alternative?

This PDA has a 4Gb internal hard drive!! 'PalmOne

The very first PDA that shipped with a hard drive was thhe Sharp Zaurus SL-C3000 but it was only available in Japan.

First looks: Very Impressive!!

It weighs only 6.8 ounces but jam-packed with features that include:-
  • 416MHz XScale processor
  • 65MB of RAM
  • 4GB hard drive
  • 480 x 320-pixel
  • 3.9-inch TFT
  • SD slot
  • 802.11b
  • Bluetooth
  • plays MPEG and AVI video
  • plays MP3 audio
  • Palm OS 5.4.
  • USB cable interface

    Negatives :-
  • probably the price : US 499 (Around RM2000).
  • Battery not swappeable - that's a big boo boo in my books

PalmOne markets this as a "notebook alternative" and it's pretty cool.

The LifeBook is now no. 1 on my wishlist (or My-Never-Can-Afford-To-Own-Dreamlist).

ahhh..the features makes me lick my own lips..unfortunately it's Palm OS based. I wish it's a Pocket PC....but it does look delicious.

If only it includes phone features as well...then it would be my next Mr. Perfect ....LOL

He he.. it's already my "miss" perfect!!

Palm is ok. I've been using the Palm Vx for a long time now and it's not bad. Believe me once you go online with WIFI, there's little difference in Pocket PC and Palm OS.

Then again you won't get the common "hanging" phenomena with Palm as you do with Micket soft products :)
